Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SAFETY ELD COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST to ensure strict adherence to Electronic Logging Device (ELD) regulations and safety standards within our transportation operations. This role is vital in maintaining regulatory compliance, managing safety protocols, and supporting the seamless integration of ELD systems across our fleet. Duties
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all ELD mandates, including FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving safety policies.
- Conduct regular audits of ELD data to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as operations, safety, and IT to implement compliance management software solutions effectively.
- Prepare detailed reports on compliance status, safety incidents, and risk assessments for internal review and regulatory submissions.
- Assist in the development and delivery of training programs related to ELD usage, safety protocols, and regulatory updates for drivers and staff.
- Support the management of regulatory compliance projects by coordinating documentation, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion.
- Stay informed about changes in transportation safety regulations at federal (FMCSA), state, ISO standards at relevant locations, and international guidelines such as ICH (International Council for Harmonisation) or EMA (European Medicines Agency) regulations where applicable.
Requirements
- Proven experience with FDA regulations or pharmaceutical regulatory compliance is a plus but not mandatory; strong familiarity with health regulation policy knowledge is essential.
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical trials processes or biomedical regulatory compliance can be advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of transportation safety regulations, including FMCSA ELD mandates and drug regulation policies affecting driver safety.
- Proficiency in regulatory compliance management software and data analysis tools to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Excellent writing skills for preparing comprehensive reports, regulatory submissions, and training materials.
- Strong project management abilities with experience overseeing multiple compliance initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments to promote understanding of safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail for conducting risk management assessments and compliance analysis.
