Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. A strong understanding of early childhood education principles, is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote learning through play.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a safe and productive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Provide individualized support for children with diverse needs, including those on the autism spectrum.
- Ensure the health and safety of all children in your care through vigilant supervision and adherence to daycare regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and share best practices in early childhood education.
- Maintain an organized classroom that is conducive to learning and exploration.
Requirements
- Paraprofessional certificate, associates in ECE, CDA, or TCC in Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development for preschool-aged children.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with BFTS educational philosophies is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- A genuine love for working with young children and supporting their growth and development.
