Provide critical support as a Relief Pharmacist in a busy Bronx retail pharmacy, offering temporary coverage for approximately 30–40 hours per week from late July to late August. This role ensures continuity in pharmacy operations through accurate prescription verification, patient counseling, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and safety.
- Counsel patients, addressing medication questions and providing guidance.
- Support daily pharmacy workflow to maintain smooth operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to pharmacy laws, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to optimize service efficiency.
- Work scheduled retail hours including some evenings until 8:00 PM and alternating Saturdays.
Qualifications:
- Active New York Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Experience in retail pharmacy settings preferred.
- Specialty pharmacy experience is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and alternate Saturdays.
Schedule:
