Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) under supervision.
- Collect and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and communication skills development.
- Support clients during therapy sessions by teaching new skills and managing challenging behaviors using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, documentation, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with supervisors, families, and care teams to ensure consistency and effectiveness of treatment plans.
- Promote a safe, supportive environment that encourages growth, patience, and respect for each individual’s unique needs.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles, behavior management strategies, and special education practices is advantageous.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and care plans helps ensure accurate recordkeeping.
- Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to ethical standards related to patient care and confidentiality.
