Responsibilities
- Develop and execute fun, safe enrichment activities that promote healthy behavior and social interaction among dogs in our care
- Monitor dog behavior closely to ensure safety during playtime and activities, utilizing animal handling and restraint techniques as needed
- Assist with basic training exercises to reinforce good manners and obedience in a positive manner
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their dog’s progress and daily activities
- Maintain a clean, organized environment by performing cleaning duties related to pet grooming and general sanitation standards
- Handle heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with equipment setup for activities
- Observe veterinary guidelines when necessary, especially if dogs show signs of distress or health concerns requiring veterinary technician or assistant experience
Experience
- Prior experience in dog training, pet grooming, or pet sitting is highly desirable
- Background in veterinary technician or assistant roles, including animal handling and restraint techniques
- Kennel experience or working in animal care facilities provides valuable insight into managing multiple dogs safely
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks required for maintaining the facility and equipment setup
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary experience helps in recognizing health issues early on during daily interactions

Pay: $18,720.00 - $24,960.00 per hour
