Job Summary:
We are seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to join our dietary services department at Westmoreland Manor. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in preparing and serving foods for our residents. You will be responsible for checking supplies, preparing supplements, maintaining daily records and totals, reviewing menus and work orders, and working tray assembly. You will also maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment/utensils, and may fill-in for cooks as-needed.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve foods for tray line
- Check supplies, prepare supplements, maintain daily records and totals, review menus and work orders, and work tray assembly
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment/utensils
- Fill-in for cooks as-needed
- Perform mathematical calculations for purposes of converting and measuring recipes and ordering supplies
- Operate commercial dietary equipment
- Manipulate heavy carts
- Lift and maneuver weights up to 40 pounds without assistance
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Prior experience in long term care preferred
- At least one year of food service experience preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for purposes of converting and measuring recipes and ordering supplies
- Ability to operate commercial dietary equipment
- Ability to manipulate heavy carts
- Ability to lift and maneuver weights up to 40 pounds without assistance
