Front of House Bakery Lead
Are you passionate about pastries and food and ready to set the standard for others? Do you love trying new sweet treats and learning how they're made? Are you someone who enjoys energizing social interactions? Do you find joy in creating a great experience for every customer, and helping teammates do the same? Do you take pride in delivering stand-out customer service, consistently and at a high level?
This role is a great fit for someone with prior bakery or café experience who's ready to lead by example on the floor and who's looking for a role that can grow into something bigger.
Who We Are
For nearly 40 years, Mirabelle's Bakery has been a staple of the Burlington community, a place where locals come back year after year for scratch-made pastries, show-stopping cakes, and a warm, familiar face behind the counter. We've grown alongside this community for decades, and we're proud of the reputation we've built for one customer, one cake, one cup of coffee at a time.
Now we're growing again: expanding our offerings, building out our coffee program, and looking ahead to what's next, potentially including new locations. We're looking for people who want to grow with us.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Front of House Bakery Lead to join our team and grow with us as we expand. This role is a step above our Bakery Associates: a go-to person on the floor who sets the tone for customer experience, models best practices, and can be trusted to run service smoothly during a shift.
This is not a formal management position today; you won't be building schedules or supervising staff. But as we open new locations, this is the role we expect to draw our future shift leads and managers from, and we're looking for someone who wants to grow into that kind of leadership over time.
The right candidate is caring, highly organized, dependable under pressure, and has a genuine passion for pastries and food.
This role also requires some travel and the flexibility to work across multiple locations as needed, including occasional shifts covering or supporting other locations in the future.
We're also growing our coffee program small but mighty right now, with big plans. We're curating a lineup that's homemade and all-local, meant to pair beautifully with our pastries. We need this person to be an excellent multitasker: someone who can foresee problems before they happen, stay calm under pressure, and keep customers well taken care of even when the bar gets slammed.
