About the Role - What You’ll Do
Performs chemical tests on products to ensure performance within specifications using standard test equipment, materials and procedures and is able to perform all functions of the MEKP process operator
Key Responsibilities:
Area of Responsibility 1: MEKP Testing, Corrections and Plant Support
- Perform titrations on MEKP samples to determine required batch corrections
- Add necessary corrections to each batch
- Perform all final tests required for approval to package
- Complete all paperwork and database entry for MEKP production
- Prepare all laboratory chemicals needed for MEKP analysis
- Complete transfer of MEKP in blending tanks
- Operate the MEKP plant as needed
- Change filters for the correction pump and cell 1 and perform routine maintenance
- Use MVP application for inspections and work orders on tablet
- Perform other job‑related tasks assigned by the Production Supervisor
Area of Responsibility 2: Quality, Documentation and Training
- Test and correct all products made in the MEKP plant
- Approve MEKP tanks and blends for packaging
- Maintain 6S area requirements
- Train other employees as needed
- Maintain accuracy and completeness of documentation and entries
- Ensure quality requirements are met prior to packaging
- Maintain a proactive safety mindset in this safety‑sensitive position
Safety & Environment
- Follow all company safety rules, PPE requirements and safe‑handling procedures
Quality Assurance
- Ensure testing accuracy for all MEKP product streams
- Maintain correct documentation for adjustments, corrections and final approvals
- Support ISO 9001, 14001, and Responsible Care programs
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Proficient in math
- Chemical handling experience
- Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent
- High school diploma, GED or verifiable work experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Proactive safety mindset with active participation in safety activities
- Ability to understand verbal and written communication
- Ability to climb stairs and navigate congested sites safely
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to distinguish colors
Desirable:
- Experience with MEKP or similar peroxide processes
- Experience operating production or blending equipment
- Experience with filtration system maintenance
Work Environment
- Production and laboratory environments with exposure to chemicals and equipment
