A growing precision metal manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead a team of up to 20 employees in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving production, improving efficiency, developing employees, and ensuring quality and on-time customer deliveries. This job operates in a dedicated laboratory in a professional manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do
- Supervise and develop a team of up to 20 assembly employees
- Schedule daily production activities to meet customer deadlines
- Improve productivity, quality, and workflow throughout the assembly department
- Train, mentor, and support group leaders and production employees
- Monitor safety, quality, housekeeping, and production performance
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve production issues
- Lead continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to support production scheduling and manufacturing operations
Physical Demands
- Occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs

Required Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of ERP Manufacturing systems (shop floor, production)
- Ability to lead a team of employees in problem solving efforts
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English, with focus on respect, diplomacy and empathy
- Strong leadership skills and desire to learn new skills
- Strong computer skills, including MS office products

Qualifications
- 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment
- ERP or MRP manufacturing system experience
- IPC-610, J-std, and IPC-620 experience/certification
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus
- Working experience with precision measuring tools: Calipers, micrometers, fixed and variable gaging
- High School Diploma
