Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal offerings
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and mixers
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by cleaning utensils, appliances, workstations, and storage spaces regularly
- Handle food with care to ensure safety standards are met throughout all stages of food preparation
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service delivery
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
Skills
- Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation procedures
- Proven ability in food preparation, cooking techniques, and recipe adherence
- Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Experience in restaurant or catering environments demonstrating food service expertise
- Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff and team members
- Knowledge of meal planning, food industry practices, and culinary techniques to enhance menu offerings
