About the role
An opportunity has arisen within the Production Department for an Evaluation Technician. The successful candidate will be based in Houston, TX and will report to the Production Manager & Evaluation Lead. The primary function is to inspect engines, modules, and parts visually and dimensionally for disposition against known inspection criteria.

This an hourly non-exempt position.
An overview of your day
- Visually and dimensionally inspect engines, modules, and parts for disposition against known inspection criteria.
- Use precision and special tooling required to perform precise measurements. (e.g. Verniers, Calipers, Micrometers, Depth Gauges, runout fixtures, etc.)
- Translate inspection results into repair routes and update ERP systems and quality workbooks.
- Clean, service, and stow parts, shop equipment, special tools, and normal tools IAW RWG Standards.
- Work to the highest possible quality standards, in a safe and productive manner.
- Possess the ability to interpret and apply technical criteria from manuals or drawings.
- Work cohesively as an integral part of a team.
- Closely adhere to company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Have the ability to work non-standard/extended hours when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we need from you
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Demonstrate basic math capability to add subtract, multiply and divide decimals and fractions.
- Read and demonstrate an understanding of all relevant SDS, Quality procedures and ISO9001:14001 standards.
- Relevant and transferrable engineering/inspection experience is required, and gas turbine experience is desirable.
- Familiar with IT systems (particularly ERP software) is preferable.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow company procedures, maintain clean work area and adhere to safety rules.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.

Flexible Work Schedule
All regular full-time employees are eligible to participate in our flexible work schedule, which consists of five (5) workdays of eight (8) hours in one week and four (4) days of ten (10) hours in the second week for a total of eighty (80) hours during two (2) consecutive work weeks. The schedule allows every second Friday to be taken provided the agreed hours of work are fulfilled. Employees can “opt-out” and work the regular work week.
