The Supervisor REO will be responsible for the timely, high yield liquidation of investor-owned properties through managing a staff of REO Asset Managers.

Provide guidance and leadership for REO Asset Manager staff and provides support for REO management. Lead and mentor staff to develop and reinforce skills, improve processes and procedures, and increase overall effectiveness.

Manages the REO Asset Manager daily tasks to ensure department standards are met in the rapid liquidation of and high return on REO assets.

Maintain process and procedure documentation for the REO department, create process and procedure documentation where it does not currently exist.

Contributes to the on-going improvement of the REO department through sharing ideas and improvements with the team.

Drives improvement through analysis and reporting.

Ensure that Shellpoint and the investor have a clear understanding of the condition and value of the asset through file maintenance and reporting.

Tracks, monitors, and measures employee performance according to department standards. Provides feedback monthly.

Oversees and facilitates the training of new employees.

Maintains training and support materials for the department.

Ensure that the appropriate entity (yourself, a client, or mortgage insurance company) has reviewed and approved REO repairs, listings, and offers where we are not delegated.

Assists in the control of company expenses through intelligent use of funds to resolve accounts and managing staffing and miscellaneous costs.

Schedules and monitors of all employee time records

Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.

Undertakes special projects related to departmental activities and performs other duties as assigned.

Assists in the control of expenses related to the sale and maintenance of REO assets.

Considers changing market conditions and asset-specific nuances to determine marketing strategy and list price reductions as appropriate.

Is prepared to defend asset management strategies at the asset level to clients and investors, as needed.

Ensures the timely and accurate closing of the sale of REO properties.

Complies with company policies and procedures.

Performs related duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, required.

Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

6+ years REO experience.

2+ years management experience.
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to collaborate with team members to achieve results.

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Excellence in communication via telephone and written communication.

Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skill.

Strong analytical, problem solving and mathematical skills to be used in directing decision-making.

Understanding of Mortgage lending and servicing.

Strong negotiation and follow-up skills, as well as the ability to meet strict deadlines.
