The Wenatchee Reclamation District is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Assistant Secretary to support daily office operations. This position plays a key role in providing administrative support, customer service, payroll assistance, accounting functions, records management, and regulatory reporting while helping ensure efficient District operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional customer service by answering phones, assisting water users and landowners, and directing inquiries.
- Support daily office operations, recordkeeping, payroll processing, and administrative functions.
- Maintain and organize District records, irrigation records, and property ownership information.
- Assist with accounts payable, customer billing, financial recordkeeping, and bank reconciliations.
- Support seasonal employee onboarding, payroll processing, and year-end reporting, including W-2 preparation.
- Coordinate employee training and certification renewals.
- Assist with public records requests, compliance reporting, and regulatory documentation.
- Maintain office supplies and support ongoing administrative projects.
- Utilize Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Provide backup support for essential office functions and shared responsibilities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two years of clerical, administrative, or office support experience.
- Experience providing customer service to the public.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Basic bookkeeping or accounting knowledge preferred, but not required.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $4,785.62 - $4,929.19 per month
