1) Live In (living in the home) 5 days on 2 days off - $2500/ month
2) 6 hr shifts, 7 days a week - $12/hr

Join our compassionate team as a Direct Care Staff member for our group home, where you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centered care to individuals with diverse needs. This energetic position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives by supporting their daily activities and fostering a safe, respectful environment. You will work closely with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote independence, dignity, and well-being in a supportive setting. All positions are paid, reflecting our commitment to valuing your dedication and expertise.
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and hygiene.
- Support residents with mobility using safe patient lifting practices and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques.
- Monitor vital signs and observe changes in health status, reporting any concerns promptly to nursing staff.
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and group outings to promote mental stimulation and community involvement.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control procedures.
- Operate standard passenger cars for transportation needs such as appointments or community outings, ensuring safety at all times.
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and behavioral management techniques.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members effectively.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid to respond confidently during emergencies.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers safely.
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and client communication strategies.
