Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our team at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC machining and programming, as well as a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. The CNC Programmer will work closely with production staff to ensure that all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Programming of:
CNC Lathes
CNC Vertical machine center
CNC Horizontal machining centers
Process Improvement on current production parts.
Access cost savings across a variety of factors (i.e. tooling selection, cycle time, tool life, etc.)
Update and maintain accurate process documentation.
Prototyping new parts.
Creating program files via SurfCam (2 yrs exp preferred but not required).
Creating accurate process documentation.
Proving effectiveness of tooling selections and cutting strategies.
Running CNC machine during prototypes.
Ability to:
Read detailed drawings.
Read G code.
Trouble shoot machining processes that cause non conformance.
Understand basics of GD&T.
Clearly communicate with employees, peers, and management.
Working knowledge of machining centers, lathes, speeds, feeds and tooling required. Must have a good mechanical aptitude and be able to work independently.
Requirements:
- Proficiency with CNC machining and programming
- Knowledge of GD&T and its applications in manufacturing
- Experience in a manufacturing facility
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience with root cause analysis
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with production staff
Mastercam, Surfcam, Solid Works experience a plus.
Fixture/Tooling design experience a plus.
Two-year degree plus at least 2 years of programming experience preferred.
60% Desk, 40% hands-on on the shop floor.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
