Account Manager - Landscape
Location: Hudson, MA
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 annually, plus commission

Job Summary
The Account Manager for Landscape Maintenance at Dex by Terra is a key client-facing role responsible for building and maintaining strong commercial and residential relationships. The main measure of success is high client satisfaction, which fuels business growth. The primary objective is a contract renewal rate of 90% or higher, achieved by acting as a proactive consultant. A critical secondary financial objective is increasing revenue through upsell and cross-sell opportunities on services like specialized treatments, seasonal enhancements, and design/build projects.
Key Responsibilities and Performance Areas
- Client Relationship Management (CRM): Function as the primary client liaison, ensuring timely, professional, and transparent communication, and consistently managing client expectations.
- Service Quality Assurance: Utilize expert landscaping and horticultural acumen to conduct routine site inspections, proactively identify potential issues, and ensure service delivery meets or surpasses contractual and client specifications.
- Problem-Solving and Resolution: Take ownership of and swiftly resolve client issues and service deficiencies, escalating matters as necessary, and meticulously documenting all interactions and resolutions within the CRM system.
- Proposal and Contract Management: Develop, clearly articulate, and negotiate renewal contracts, upsells, and enhancement proposals, securing prompt client approvals.
- Internal Collaboration: Serve as the critical interface between the client and the operations, production, and design teams, effectively communicating client requirements for seamless project execution.
- Financial Stewardship: Monitor the profitability of the assigned portfolio, ensuring services are rendered within budget parameters and that pricing accurately reflects current market valuation.
- Revenue Generation/Sales: Proactively identify and successfully market supplementary service offerings (enhancements) to increase account revenue and enhance property value.
- Oversight: Monitor account profitability, provide support for scheduling, procurement processes, new client integration, winter accounts, and ensure the maintenance of precise CRM records.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in landscape account or landscape maintenance management.
- Demonstrated expertise in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and industry-specific equipment.
- A documented record of success in client retention and enhancement sales.
- Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Bilingual fluency (Spanish and/or Portuguese) is preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The position necessitates working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. It requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and stooping, and the occasional ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
