Custodian
Members of the Custodial team perform a variety of tasks, including general upkeep and cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, and common areas, and are responsible for a safe working environment for students, staff, and guests. The school undertakes a number of functions and events throughout the year for which there is need for special custodial services, as well as set-up. This position requires a high level of customer service and flexibility. Custodial positions report to the Director of Facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
- Empty trash and recycling, and replace liners
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
- Replenish restroom and classroom supplies
- Maintain orderly and attractive common spaces
- Assist with setup and breakdown for school events and meetings
- Report maintenance concerns or safety hazards promptly
- Support seasonal needs such as snow removal assistance or light grounds upkeep
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment responsibly
- Ensure compliance with health and sanitation standards
- Contribute to a safe environment for students and staff
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Facilities and Head of School
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of cleaning and equipment.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Physical stamina
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Other Requirements:
- Background check and other employee handbook policies
- 2nd Shift position after students and faculty depart
Working Conditions
- The position involves working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and lifting

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
