Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support strategic financial initiatives. Your expertise will drive accurate financial reporting, streamline accounting processes, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. Privately held manufacturer selling in both wholesale and retail environments.
Duties
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Record month-end journal entries, accrued expenses, prepayments, depreciation on a timely basis.
- Assist in ensuring the completeness and accuracy of accounting records by daily reconciliations of cash accounts and monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with treasury functions, as needed, and with other fiscal areas.
- Assist and Identify process improvements and best accounting practices.
- Provide guidance and support to A/R, A/P, and GL functions as needed.
- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP for specific divisions of the company.
- Prepare monthly departmental budgets versus actual expenses
- Provide analytic reporting on the revenues and costs of the company
- Answer accounting and financial questions through research and data analysis.
- Build strong relationships with the various departments to ensure they are provided with the tools to make sound financial decisions and recognize trends quickly to ensure departments stay within budget.
- Assist with the preparation and review of various tax/compliance filings.
- Work closely with the Controller and VP of Finance to perform tasks to realize the businesses goals.
- Other related duties as assigned
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting/finance
- Accounting certification is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and follow through in a timely manner
- Experience in manufacturing or retail is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively across departments and support cross-functional .

Pay: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
