Location: Everett, MA
Radius Recycling is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Everett, MA. This position plays a critical role in the safe and efficient movement, sorting, and processing of recyclable metals within our busy recycling facility.

Essential Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, material handlers, loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Sort, grade, and process incoming ferrous and non-ferrous metal deliveries
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers
- Maintain steady material flow to support production goals
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Work closely with yard personnel, transportation providers, and team members
- Follow all company and union safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- Experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial, recycling, construction, demolition, aggregate, waste, or similar environment
- Ability to safely operate equipment in a fast-paced outdoor setting
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred
- Excavator experience
- Experience operating material handlers with grapples or magnets
- Front-end loader experience
- Forklift experience
- Experience working in scrap metal, recycling, transfer station, quarry, demolition, or construction operations
