Responsibilities
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills in accordance with educational standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring each child's developmental needs are met through tailored activities.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including lesson planning, transitions, and behavior management strategies to maintain an organized learning space.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings or written updates.
- Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and welfare of all children in your care.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in child welfare and safety protocols is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children alike.
- Demonstrated ability to follow engaging lesson plans that foster physical activity, math skills, literacy growth, and social-emotional learning.
