Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, extensions, and treatments to meet client preferences and enhance their natural beauty
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look, offering professional recommendations based on hair type, face shape, and current trends
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work station by adhering to strict sanitation protocols for tools and salon areas
- Use salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently
- Stay updated on the latest hair care products, techniques, and industry trends to provide innovative solutions
- Upsell additional services such as makeup application or specialized treatments to enhance client experience and salon revenue
- Mentor junior stylists or apprentices by sharing expertise in hair styling, coloring, sanitation practices, and customer communication
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with comprehensive knowledge of sanitation standards
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong skills in hair styling, coloring, extensions, and makeup application
- Proficiency with salon management software like MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and client management
- Knowledge of color theory, hair care products, and techniques including straight razor shaving and hair extensions application
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients effectively and understanding their needs
- Ability to perform precise cuts, styles, color treatments, and barbering services in a fast-paced environment
- Experience mentoring or training team members is a plus but not required

Pay: $23.72 - $28.57 per hour
