American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a day shift travel assignment in an 854-bed hospital's Respiratory Services department in Asheville, NC.

Adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations across critical care units and general floors

Patient ratios range from 10 to 25 patients

Equipment includes GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger infant/peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport vent, V60 non-invasive device, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices

Day shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Floating required to all critical care units and floors

13-week contract

Active RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) — license required if applicable

North Carolina Respiratory Therapy license required

Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, with active experience within the last 6 months

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)

NRP preferred (required if caring for neonatal patients)

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible

Staffing includes 15–20 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines on day shift
-
The facility is a regional referral center with a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU, and a children's hospital with pediatric emergency services
