Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, preparing ingredients for cooking, and supporting the culinary team with food handling and basic preparation tasks. Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently to ensure cleanliness and readiness for use
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, portioning, and organizing ingredients according to recipes and standards
- Support catering and banquet setups by organizing supplies and ensuring timely food prep assistance
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, including sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dining areas during service to support smooth restaurant operations
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold safety standards and prevent contamination
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of prepared ingredients for cooking and service
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Experience with food preparation techniques such as chopping, peeling, or portioning ingredients
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items when necessary
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary operations
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment cleaning procedures and basic culinary skills is a plus
- Previous experience in banquet or large-scale catering environments is advantageous
