We are seeking a Scaffold Yard Manager with Scaffolding Experience to oversee daily yard operations and ensure efficiency in logistics, documentation, inventory, and quality control. This is a working manager position that requires regular physical labor and active participation in yard activities—not a desk‑only role. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, directing crews, and stepping in to assist with hands‑on tasks as needed. Experience with scaffolding operations is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong communication and customer service, maintaining professionalism and positive working relationships.
- Manage and maintain accurate operational documentation, including safety and project records.
- Work in the yard daily alongside staff, performing physical tasks such as material handling, equipment organization, loading/unloading, and general yard upkeep.
- Lead, train, and motivate yard personnel to ensure productivity and a safe, efficient work environment.
- Coordinate logistics and material distribution to support timely project execution.
- Oversee inventory management, monitor stock levels, and ensure equipment is maintained and ready for use.
- Implement and enforce quality and safety standards across all yard operations.
- Collaborate with leadership to improve processes, increase efficiency, and control operational costs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Manager or in a similar leadership role (yard, warehouse, construction).
- Scaffolding experience required.
- Strong understanding of logistics, inventory management, and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Relevant certifications in operations, logistics, or safety are a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Power Apps).
- Ability and willingness to perform physical labor outdoors in all weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45.0 per week
