Responsibilities
- Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Load, unload, and secure furniture items using manual handling techniques
- Execute precise route driving to ensure timely deliveries while navigating urban and rural areas efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting designer and clients with their furniture setup, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction upon delivery.
- Conduct thorough safety checks before each delivery, including safe lifting practices and proper vehicle inspection.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation using mobile devices or other digital tools, including delivery logs and customer signatures.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations for receiving, inventory management, ensuring proper handling of goods from storage to delivery.
- Assist with showroom staging, set up and organization
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse receiving operations, inventory management, moving, or delivery driving roles, preferably with commercial truck driving or courier background.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or commercial trucks is highly desirable. Bring your DMV abstract to the interview
- Strong manual handling skills with knowledge of safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks; ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices on the road.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor.
- Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and documentation during deliveries.
- Must maintain consistent attendance
