Day To Day Duties:
Daily Tasks Include (but not limited to):
· Set up portable fence for projects
· Load and unload goats from a trailer
· Conduct daily checks on herds to ensure the animals are present, healthy and safe, and monitor project status
· Be “on-call” for emergency situations at project sites (i.e. sick or injured goat, fence failure, damaged or downed fence)
· Perform animal husbandry tasks such as administering medication, trimming hooves etc.
Work Environment
Your office will have no walls, lots of fresh air and sunshine! You will need a vehicle to travel to project sites, but will occasionally use a company vehicle and tow a livestock trailer. Some lifting and carrying are required. Ingenuity, creativity and problem-solving will be essential to setup fencing on-site. Desire to work with goats – and loving them doesn’t hurt – is a must.
An Ideal Candidate:
This role requires flexibility. Goats are often moved multiple times per week and the schedule is not often known until a day or two prior.
Ideally, you are someone that is flexible with their days, and is either looking for part-time work, or have your own part-time business with flexible hours, and can prioritize moving goats. Because when goats gotta move, goats gotta move!
Skills That Matter Most
· Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with customers and co-workers
· Clean driving record and ability to drive a truck and trailer
· Ability to work on your own to complete tasks
· Ability to identify issues with animals and project site, and communicate them effectively and appropriately
Success In This Role
The successful candidate will be able to manage 2-4 groups of goats (up to 120 total), work well with team members to coordinate work schedules, and complete grazing projects to customers’ satisfaction in a timely manner. The candidate will also care for the animals and equipment as if it were their own.
Compensation
Compensation will include a competitive hourly wage, cool goat-themed apparel, and the use of a company vehicle for some work-related activities.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
