Hiring: Industrial Sewing Machine Operators
- $25.00/hour
- Experience Required: Prior industrial sewing experience (e.g., automotive upholstery or heavy duty textiles).
- Technical Skills: Experience using commercial single-needle and/or double-needle machines to fabricate items made of heavy duty textiles (canvas, leather, vinyl, etc)
- Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Job Description
- Machine Operation: Run specialized industrial equipment—such as single-needle, multi-needle—at high speeds
- Handle Heavy Materials: Work with specialized automotive fabrics, foam-backed materials, commercial weight vinyl, and heavy thread weights
- Production Execution: Follow patterns, and technical routings to cut, shape, and join heavy materials like canvas, leather, vinyl, or industrial fabrics
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products, snip loose threads, check for stitching flaws, and ensure items meet strict company quality guidelines
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic machine troubleshooting, oiling, needle changes, cleaning, and minor calibrations to prevent downtime
- Production Quotas: Work with a team of industrial sewing machine operators to ensure work is completed within expected turnaround times and manage workflow to avoid backlog of work at various stations
- Additional Responsibilities: Keeping the workspace clean and organized and follow safety procedures
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 1+ years of industrial sewing experience (automotive upholstery and/or heavy duty textiles)
- Technical Knowledge: Understand stitch types, thread tensions, and needle sizes appropriate for industrial heavy duty textile applications
- Physical Dexterity: Excellent hand-eye coordination and the stamina to sit or stand for long production shifts while feeding thick materials under a presser foot
- Pacing and Focus: Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet strict daily production quotas
