Summary of Responsibilities
Our residential mental and behavioral health programs are built on evidence-based, best-practice treatments tailored to each client’s unique needs. Services are provided across voluntary residential facilities and secure residential treatment settings. The primary role of our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is to establish a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients through both virtual and in-person interactions. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests as needed, prescribing and managing medications, and coordinating referrals to support continuity of care. Our team ensures that all staff are quickly recognized as an integral part of the team and creates a positive working environment of communication, collaboration, compassion, and integrity.
Qualifications
- Active Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) License in the state of Oregon.
- Dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or AGACNP is an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP), preferred but not required.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in an inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation, forensic, or addiction medicine setting preferred.
- Experience working with complex mental health in adult and older adult populations.
- Demonstrated experience prescribing, monitoring, and managing psychotropic and general medical medications while providing comprehensive, patient-centered care.
- Communication skills to converse clearly over the telephone and virtually and excellent verbal and written communication.
- Access to reliable phone and internet services in a private and professional setting to ensure HIPPA compliance and patient trust.
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and ability to drive in various weather conditions to ensure reliability.
