GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide operational leadership for Career Navigators and Workforce Development staff.
- Ensure quality participant services, case management, and employment outcomes.
- Support Mission Mobile operations, Career Centers, and workforce initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with employers, referral agencies, and community partners.
- Demonstrate Goodwill's CARES+ values at all times.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and mentorship to Career Navigators and Workforce Development staff.
2. Coordinate Career Center staffing, coverage, and daily operations.
3. Maintain a participant caseload including assessments, employment plans, and follow-up services.
4. Facilitate Work Essentials, resume, interview, digital literacy, and career readiness workshops.
5. Ensure participant documentation, case notes, and required reports are completed accurately and timely.
6. Review participant files for quality assurance and program compliance.
7. Coordinate WIN Assessments and other workforce readiness assessments.
8. Develop and maintain employer relationships to identify employment, apprenticeship, OJT, and work-based learning opportunities.
9. Coordinate participant referrals, placements, and employment retention services.
10. Support apprenticeship participants through OJT monitoring, competency tracking, and employer communication.
11. Coordinate Mission Mobile staffing, event logistics, supplies, and Career Center outreach.
12. Drive and operate the Mission Mobile while ensuring vehicle inspections, maintenance reporting, and safety compliance.
13. Provide Career Center coverage as needed.
14. Serve as liaison with Vocational Rehabilitation, SC Works, WIOA, DSS, United Way, and other referral partners.
15. Monitor program outcomes, KPIs, and customer satisfaction metrics.
16. Assist leadership with staff training, onboarding, and continuous improvement initiatives.
17. Ensure compliance with Goodwill policies, HIPAA, grant requirements, and safety procedures.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Associate’s Degree in field of Human Services, Education, Liberal Arts preferred; or High School Diploma and 5 years’ experience in a related field; or a combination of related experience and education.
Work Experience: Prior experience in Human Services, Workforce Development, Recruiting/Staffing, and/or Customer Service.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments in a fast-paced work environment.
- Multi-cultural sensitivity – demonstrate a sensitivity and awareness of diversities in people and cultures.
- Knowledge of community, educational and vocational resources.
- Ability to build rapport and work as a team, within the Career Development Services department, the Goodwill organization as a whole, and with outside partner agencies.
- Have had no criminal driver related convictions in the previous 8 years.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of safe driving based on laws and regulations for a non-CDL vehicles.
- Must have a valid South Carolina Driver’s License with limited points, a safe driving record is required and experience driving larger vehicles preferred.
- Driver safety awareness training preferred. Upon hire, will complete Coaching the Van driving course and approved Defensive Driving course.
Physical Requirements: Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. May be exposed to dust and odors. May be required to do limited work outdoors.
Safety & Security: Responsible for following all safety, and security procedures as directed by Goodwill policy. Report all accidents, however slight, to your supervisor immediately. Never leave the premises without reporting any accident that occurred during your working time. If medical treatment is needed during your non-work hours, the supervisor should be contacted.

Work Hours and Locations: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday – Friday, or whatever hours are required to meet the professional requirements of the job.
Lexington and Haywood are considered the Mission Mobile home office locations. Mileage reimbursement will start after reaching these destinations.
