My client is looking for Diesel Mechanics and Truck Technicians to add to their rapidly expanding team. My client is specialized in Mobile Truck Repair and trailer breakdown service repair. Their service is second to none, and they service some of the largest fleets across the country. Because of this, they seeking reliable, trustworthy, and experienced Diesel Engine technicians to help them keep up with growth.
Responsibilities of the Diesel Mechanic / Truck Technician
- Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines
- Inspect vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts
- Test Drive vehicles to gauge performance
- Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other parts
- Maintain records of parts inventory and service vehicles
Qualifications of the Diesel Mechanic / Truck Technician
- Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system, and the mechanisms of a diesel engine
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
- Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
- Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
- Must Have Tools
- Valid Drivers License
- Must pass Drug Test, MVR, and DOT Physical

Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct mechanical systems repair including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, air brakes, shocks & struts, and steering components.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify vehicle parts as needed.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently during maintenance tasks.
- Inspect vehicles for wear and tear; perform preventive maintenance including tire service, alignment checks, HVAC servicing, and diesel engine repairs.
- Diagnose electrical systems including automotive electrical system repair; soldering and wiring as required for complex repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records; complete inspection reports, repair logs, and safety documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy truck repair or industrial equipment maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel mechanics, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and vehicle electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators or cranes is highly desirable.
- Ability to read schematics accurately; familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools is essential.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding; capable of using hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to air brake systems, tire service, heavy lifting, and equipment assembly.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.

- $25 to $40 per hour – Based on experience & availability.
