The Role
An Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records while ensuring materials are received, stored, transferred, and issued efficiently to support production operations. Working under the direction of the Inventory Lead, Inventory Coordinator, Inventory Manager, and/or Director of Production, the Inventory Associate performs daily inventory tasks with accuracy, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control & Material Management
- Receive, inspect, and accurately store cannabis and non-cannabis materials.
- Perform inventory transactions in the ERP system and other required tracking systems accurately and in a timely manner.
- Label raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods according to company procedures.
- Stage materials for production orders and ensure production teams receive the correct materials.
- Transfer materials between departments and storage locations while maintaining complete inventory traceability.
- Assist with batch completion and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Maintain organized, clean, and secure inventory storage areas.
Inventory Accuracy & Compliance
- Follow all inventory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation and system transactions.
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts as assigned.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, and inventory concerns to leadership.
- Ensure all inventory movements are completed accurately to maintain compliance and traceability.
- Assist during internal and external inventory audits.
Shipping & Receiving Support
- Assist with receiving incoming shipments by verifying quantities, inspecting materials, and reporting discrepancies.
- Prepare finished goods, materials, and supplies for internal transfers or outbound shipments.
- Ensure shipping and receiving documentation is accurate and complete.
- Maintain organized staging areas for incoming and outgoing materials.
Teamwork & Operational Support
- Communicate inventory shortages, material issues, or potential production delays promptly.
- Follow all company safety policies, security procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous inventory, warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience preferred.
- Experience using ERP or inventory management systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Ability to accurately count, record, and reconcile inventory.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing business needs.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.
