Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across subjects such as literacy, math, science, and social studies.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, curiosity, and active participation among students.
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and support diverse learning styles.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management strategies and clear expectations.
- Provide individualized support and tutoring to students needing extra assistance, including those with special education needs or on the autism spectrum.
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop tailored educational plans that support early childhood education and childhood development goals.
Skills
- Proven experience in classroom management and lesson planning within elementary education settings.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and team members.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and early intervention strategies.
- Strong commitment to either Physical fitness and health or the arts, as appropriate
- Ability to utilize learning technology platforms and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Experience in mentoring students and working with individuals with autism or special needs.
