Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Truck Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, fabricating, and maintaining truck bodies and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties
- Perform repairs and modifications on truck bodies, including structural repairs, welding, and sheet metal work using MIG welding and other techniques
- Fabricate custom parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal working equipment to meet specific job requirements
- Conduct body body repairs such as dent removal, painting, and detailing to restore vehicles to pristine condition
- Use auto estimating software to assess damages accurately and determine necessary repairs
- Maintain vehicle systems through mechanical inspections, vehicle maintenance tasks, and auto restoration projects to ensure safety and compliance.
- Assist with truck body assembly, painting, welding, lift gates,and other tasks that require mechanical knowledge and precision
Skills
- Proven experience or background in truck repair and body work
- Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding techniques, and fabrication processes
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, auto glass installation tools, and auto estimating software
- Experience with sheet metal work, painting and detailing
- Customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of truck body repair standards and safety protocols to ensure quality workmanship
