Retail Store Manager — Las Vegas

We are seeking an experienced, high-level Retail Store Manager to lead one of our Las Vegas dispensary operations. This individual will be responsible for the overall performance of the store, including sales, profitability, compliance, inventory, staffing, customer experience, and day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate is a proven retail leader with 4+ years of management experience, a strong understanding of regulated cannabis retail, and hands-on experience working with METRC. This role requires someone who can lead a large team, make data-driven business decisions, maintain rigorous compliance standards, and consistently drive sales and operational results.
Position: Retail Store ManagerKey Responsibilities
Store Leadership & Operations
- Take full ownership of the day-to-day operation and overall performance of the dispensary.
- Lead, develop, coach, and hold a team of 30+ employees accountable to company standards and performance expectations.
- Establish clear goals and performance expectations for all departments and team members.
- Create a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional guest service.
- Serve as the primary point of leadership for employee, customer, operational, and business-related issues.
- Ensure the store consistently operates in an efficient, organized, professional, and compliant manner.
Sales & Business Development
- Own store sales performance and work toward achieving and exceeding revenue and profitability goals.
- Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, product performance, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase customer traffic, retention, average transaction value, and overall sales.
- Partner with leadership to implement promotions, merchandising strategies, and initiatives designed to maximize store profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and the overall customer experience.
Cannabis Compliance & METRC
- Maintain a thorough working knowledge of Nevada cannabis laws, regulations, and applicable local requirements.
- Demonstrate strong, hands-on experience with METRC, including inventory tracking, transfers, receiving, adjustments, package management, and compliance-related reporting.
- Ensure all cannabis inventory and transactions are accurately tracked and documented in accordance with state regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate store records, logs, manifests, inventory documentation, and required compliance information.
- Conduct and oversee inventory audits, reconciliations, and investigations of discrepancies.
- Ensure all employees consistently follow company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current on changes to cannabis regulations and ensure operational practices are updated accordingly.
Inventory & Merchandising
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and minimize inventory discrepancies, shrinkage, and loss.
- Work closely with purchasing, inventory, and corporate teams to optimize product assortment and inventory levels.
- Ensure products are properly received, stored, displayed, and sold in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain exceptional visual merchandising and overall store presentation.
- Ensure the dispensary remains clean, organized, professional, and customer-ready at all times.
People Management
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, and develop exceptional employees.
- Build and maintain effective staffing schedules based on business needs and sales volume.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Identify training needs and develop employees for advancement and increased responsibility.
- Address employee performance issues, attendance concerns, conflicts, and policy violations promptly and professionally.
- Lead by example and maintain a high standard of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
Customer Experience
- Ensure consistently exceptional customer service throughout the entire customer journey.
- Develop and maintain a customer-focused culture.
- Resolve customer concerns, complaints, and escalated issues professionally and effectively.
- Ensure employees understand and consistently execute all guest service programs and company standards.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of retail management experience, preferably in a high-volume retail environment.
- Cannabis retail management experience strongly preferred.
- Hands-on METRC experience required.
- Strong knowledge of Nevada cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience managing a large retail team of 30+ employees.
- Demonstrated history of achieving sales and operational goals.
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs, sales analytics, inventory management, and profitability.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with excellent time-management and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong merchandising and retail sales experience.
- Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and implement solutions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field is a plus.
