What You’ll Do:
- Integrate the SND mission, charism, values, and philosophy into all services.
- Encourage holistic growth of residents—spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially.
- Assess each resident’s interests, hobbies, and capabilities to design meaningful activities.
- Plan and facilitate group and individual activities, including trips, using safe and budget-conscious resources.
- Promote resident participation and collaboration in planning events.
- Develop a monthly activities calendar in coordination with the Health Care Director.
- Ensures supplies and equipment are ordered, used appropriately, and within budget.
- Assists Sisters with management of their Healthy Benefits card funds on a monthly basis, including allocations for food, groceries, and over-the-counter (OTC) health-related items.
- Prepares and assists with meals, including cooking full meals, baking, food prep (e.g., cutting vegetables, preparing soups), and kitchen clean-up every other weekend, every other holiday and providing additional meal support during weekdays.
- Provide daily assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Maintain vigilance regarding resident safety and promptly reports concerns or emergencies to the Director of Healthcare.
What You’ll Bring:
- STNA certification (required)
- 1+ years’ experience in an Activity Program in Long Term Care and/or Assisted Living and Health Care activities program setting.
- Experience in senior care or healthcare preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility
- A team spirit and cheerful, compassionate attitude
