The Project Manager will oversee multiple commercial glazing projects throughout all phases of construction, including project kickoff, submittals, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, field coordination, client communication, change management, billing, and project closeout.The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial glazing and understands the technical aspects of storefront systems, curtain walls, architectural glass, doors, and related glazing systems. This individual should be highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, field teams, and general contractors.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial glazing projects from project award through final completion.
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and project documents to understand project scope and requirements.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, and material releases.
- Coordinate submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, samples, and other project documentation.
- Review shop drawings and ensure compliance with contract documents and project specifications.
- Coordinate material procurement with vendors and manufacturers while monitoring production schedules and lead times.
- Work closely with field superintendents, installers, and project teams to support successful installations.
- Attend project meetings, job walks, and coordination meetings with owners, architects, general contractors, and other trades.
- Manage project budgets, labor costs, and job profitability.
- Prepare and negotiate change orders and track project cost impacts.
- Process billing, schedule of values, forecasting, and project financial reporting.
- Monitor project schedules and proactively identify potential risks or delays.
- Resolve project issues and coordinate solutions with internal teams and project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project documentation in Procore, Smartsheet, and other company systems.
- Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and contractual requirements.
- Oversee punch lists, closeout documentation, warranties, and final project turnover.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and project partners.
- Support continuous improvement of project management processes and company operations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in the commercial glazing industry.
- Strong knowledge of storefront systems, curtain walls, architectural glass, commercial doors, mirrors, and glazing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, structural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Experience managing commercial construction projects from award through closeout.
- Strong understanding of submittals, RFIs, procurement, change orders, billing, scheduling, and project documentation.
- Experience coordinating with architects, general contractors, consultants, vendors, and field personnel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
- Experience using Procore, Smartsheet, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Project or similar project management software.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Experience with aluminum storefront systems, curtain walls, architectural metals, and specialty glazing systems.
- Knowledge of AAMA standards, ASTM standards, and commercial building codes is a plus.
- Experience managing projects valued from several hundred thousand dollars to multi-million-dollar commercial contracts.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday (5-1:30PM) - subject to change
- Occasional evenings, or weekends as required to support project schedules, site meetings, and critical project milestones.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary: $100,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience
