Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment to provide a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for guests and staff alike. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, building interior features, and facilities equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair electrical equipment using schematics, electrical work techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs, including troubleshooting thermostats, compressors, fans, and ductwork to maintain climate control.
- Execute plumbing system maintenance and repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures to ensure water safety and efficiency.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge along with hand tools and welding skills for tasks such as carpentry repairs, maintenance painting, or fabricating parts as needed.
- Read schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex systems like programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or other building automation controls.
- Lead or assist in facilities maintenance projects with a focus on safety standards while providing excellent customer service to internal teams or guests when necessary.
Skills
- Extensive electrical experience with the ability to repair electrical equipment and interpret schematics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in plumbing, HVAC system repair, carpentry, welding, and maintenance painting.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and testing devices such as ohmmeters for diagnostics.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance operations including MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) procedures.
- Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and troubleshoot building automation systems effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and collaboration with team members or vendors.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
