Job Overview
Under the general supervision of the Director of Planning and Programs, the Program Specialist is an experienced, independently operating contributor responsible for executing and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Program Unit. This position reports daily to the Agency’s Compliance Officer for task assignment and guidance.
The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to root-cause analysis, the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced setting, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
Includes but not limited to:
- Maintain and update records in appropriate databases, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and historical data.
- Track receipt of subrecipient documents according to respective contracts and as requested by the Agency
- Identify noncompliance issues, trends, and other identified programmatic corrective action needs.
- Assist in developing and updating training materials including slide decks, assessments, and Read-and-Understand documents
- Assist with monitoring and quality assurance of subrecipients by serving as a knowledgeable resource on contract requirements, documents, and training.
- Assist with tracking and follow-up on action items related to documentation or training deficiencies identified through program evaluation and review.
Required Competencies
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in document processing, data entry, and record-keeping.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear, accurate documentation entries and assist in drafting training and procedural content.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet competing deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Intermediate mathematical skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Empowered and motivated to seek guidance and clarification as needed.
Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; OR
- Four years related experience and/or training; OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience in an administrative/clerical role supporting management.

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
