Job Overview
Join our team as a Home Health Aide & Companion, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals needing personalized care and support within their homes or assisted living environments. This energetic position offers the opportunity to provide meaningful assistance with daily activities, emotional support, fostering independence and dignity for those you serve. You will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver attentive, respectful, and comprehensive care tailored to each individual's unique needs. Must operate and own their own vehicle. This is a 1099 position. Hours will vary depending on consumer needs but can easily become a full-time job or part time as cases come and go.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Accompany consumers on outings (shopping, groceries, park, doctor's appointments, etc.)
- Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions; assist with feeding when necessary; perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe environment.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and records of patient care activities; communicate effectively with team regarding patient progress or concerns.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in group home, adult day program, daycare, home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments.
- Certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), first aid training, and any state-specific caregiving licenses are highly preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental/ intellectual disabilities is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting patients using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
