Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance and repair skills, demonstrating proficiency in various tasks to ensure the upkeep of residential and commercial properties. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, dry wall installation and repair, and painting
- Conduct inspections using schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Lead small projects or supervise team members during repair or installation tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Minor plumbing and electrical work (fixtures, faucets, outlets, light installs)
- Door, window, and hardware repairs
- Document completed work (photos, notes, recommendations)
- Maintain a clean, professional work environment
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing, or related fields with a strong mechanical background.
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for electrical and mechanical systems and building floor plans.
- Knowledge of residential painting, general carpentry, HVAC and basic plumbing is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual is preferred) to effectively coordinate with team members and clients.
- 3+ years of handyman or general maintenance experience
- Broad skillset across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.)
- Own tools and reliable transportation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Professional, customer-friendly demeanor
- Ability to work independently and manage schedule
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and local codes
