American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Radiation Oncology Clinic position requiring an active NC or compact RN license and at least one year of nursing experience.

Outpatient Radiation Oncology Clinic setting within an academic medical center
-
Performs procedures and provides care for patients receiving HDR (High Dose Rate) brachytherapy, an advanced form of internal radiation therapy delivering high doses of radiation in a short timeframe

Day shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

No on-call or weekend requirements

Holiday coverage may be required as needed

Active RN license in the state of North Carolina (NC or Compact license accepted)

Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience

Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred

Radiation oncology and/or cancer nursing experience is preferred but not required
-
Nurses with surgical and/or procedural experience are well-suited for this highly specialized treatment role

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation of complex care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient/family education
