Key Responsibilities
- Ensure IEP compliance standards are followed, implemented, and reviewed.
- Modify and adapt the general education curriculum to meet the needs of all students.
- Utilize a data-informed approach to progress monitoring and evaluate the effectiveness of special instruction and support.
- Ability to navigate sensitive conversations with families with empathy and clarity.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.
- Supervise students in the classroom and other school settings.
- Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid State of Michigan teaching certification with Special Education endorsement.
- Awareness of the physical, social, emotional, and mental development of the students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- A passion for fostering a love of learning and a commitment to student success.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Physical Demand
- Must be able to successfully complete CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) training.
- Ability to maintain focus in a high-stimulation environment with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to lift, move, bend, kneel, and sit on the floor to engage with elementary students.
