Position Summary
ScaVet Technologies is seeking an experienced Construction Manager (Construction Management Representative - CMR) to provide on-site quality assurance and construction management services for the National Park Service Hartsbourne Avenue roadway rehabilitation project.
The Construction Manager will monitor daily construction activities, verify contractor compliance with project plans and specifications, document project progress, and assist the National Park Service in delivering a successful roadway rehabilitation project while minimizing impacts to park operations and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily on-site construction inspections.
- Monitor contractor compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
- Observe contractor quality control activities.
- Verify compliance with OSHA safety requirements and contractor safety plans.
- Maintain daily inspection reports and construction diaries.
- Document project progress using photographs and written reports.
- Review contractor submittals and RFIs.
- Track submittals, punch lists, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
- Prepare weekly progress reports and meeting minutes.
- Coordinate inspections with designers, contractors, testing laboratories, and NPS personnel.
- Assist with contractor schedule monitoring.
- Notify the COR immediately of safety concerns, quality deficiencies, differing site conditions, or potential claims.
- Assist with cost estimates and documentation for contract modifications.
- Participate in weekly project meetings and site coordination meetings.
- Utilize cloud-based project management software to upload reports, photographs, RFIs, and project documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of construction inspection or construction management experience.
- Experience on roadway rehabilitation, paving, heavy highway, or civil infrastructure projects.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
- Experience preparing daily reports and photographic documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- National Park Service experience.
- FHWA, USACE, DOT, or Federal Lands Highway project experience.
- NICET Highway Construction Certification.
- ICC Inspector Certification.
- Experience with asphalt paving, roadway preservation, drainage, guardrail installation, pavement markings, and traffic control.
- Experience with ProjectTeam or similar construction management software.

Pay: $9,500.00 - $120,000.00 per year
