Position Overview: Rangefront Mining Services is seeking Geology Field Assistants to support an active summer exploration drilling program in Alaska. This is a seasonal position running from early June through the end of October, offering a unique opportunity to work at a remote exploration camp in a rugged and scenic Alaskan setting.
Geology Field Assistants play a critical role in supporting geologists and drill crews by performing field, sampling, and logistical tasks essential to successful exploration programs. This position is well suited for entry-level geology students looking to build practical field experience in mineral exploration.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist geologists with field mapping, sampling, and data collection.
- Collect rock, soil, and stream sediment samples following established procedures.
- Transport samples and equipment between field areas, core facilities, and drill sites.
- Help organize, label, and track samples to ensure proper documentation.
- Provide general support at drill sites, including core handling and logistical assistance as needed.
- Maintain field equipment and assist with camp and worksite organization.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and site-specific protocols at all times.
- Accurately complete field notes, sample logs, and other required documentation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by project geologists or site management.
Qualifications:
- Interest in geology, exploration, mining, or environmental sciences.
- Previous fieldwork or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work long hours outdoors in variable weather conditions.
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs over rough terrain.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote camp setting.
- Basic navigation, GPS, or map reading skills preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
