American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health position near Fort Dodge, IA, requiring 2+ years of OT experience and a valid state license.

Home health setting covering a 50-mile radius around Fort Dodge, IA
-
Traveler will average 200-250 miles per week
-
Average of 4-6 patients per day
-
Patients typically require short-term therapy following hospitalization or nursing home stay
-
Team includes 1 PT, 1 OT, 1 PTA, and 1 COTA
-
Weekly virtual team meetings with monthly in-person meetings
-
Epic EMR used for documentation
-
Active Occupational Therapist state license required (license required if applicable)

Minimum 2 years of OT experience required

Home health experience preferred but not required
-
BLS certification required
-
Epic EMR experience preferred

Must have own vehicle; mileage reimbursed

Iowa state license required; compact license accepted
-
Must not have been employed by the facility within the past 12 months

First-time travelers accepted

Orientation begins every Monday, including general orientation, required online courses, and 2 days of Epic training

New hires complete ride-along/shadow visits during orientation

Therapy manager provides support and documentation review during the first few weeks of the assignment

Travelers typically reach full productivity by week 3

Travelers are required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)

Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday periods in late November and December/January

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
