For over 50 years, Swad & Company, a full-service CPA firm located in Livonia, MI, has provided a full spectrum of tax, accounting, audit, financial statement and consulting services to individuals and businesses. We're currently seeking hands-on self-starters with recent public accounting tax and/or audit experience to assist with tax, audit and accounting engagements for a diverse roster of privately held clients.
Responsibilities:
- Tax Professionals – Prepare and/or review individual, corporate, partnership and trust & estate tax returns.
- Audit, Assurance and Financial Statement Professionals – Assist with audit engagements including preparation of financial statements, reviews and compilations.
- Supervisory – Senior/Manager level candidates will review, teach and mentor staff.
- Client Services - Build professional client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Tax Professionals: 0-5+ years of recent tax firm or CPA firm accounting experience
- Audit/Assurance Professionals: 3+ years of recent public accounting audit/financial statement experience
- CPA license is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, client service, and PC skills including MS Excel and accounting software proficiency (Thomson Reuters UltraTax & Engagement software proficiency are a plus)
- Ability to professionally lead engagements, effectively interact with clients and staff at all levels and juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Prior experience in the construction or franchise industries is a plus
