Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible to automate deployment processes.
- Manage and optimize cloud environments across multiple platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Rackspace, VMware, OpenStack, Citrix, and other public cloud services.
- Implement and oversee service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices architectures, and distributed systems to enhance system flexibility and resilience.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and other DevOps automation tools to streamline software deployment workflows.
- Ensure system security through effective identity and access management (IAM) solutions, system hardening practices, VPN configurations, and network security protocols.
- Monitor system performance and scalability; troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure or web services utilizing scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Ruby.
- Collaborate with development teams on application development using JavaScript, Java, Python, Ruby on Rails, Node.js,.NET or Go for cloud-native applications.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud architecture designs, deployment procedures, and operational processes in line with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
- Support disaster recovery planning by implementing Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), SaaS solutions, PaaS offerings, NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB, and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Skills
- Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms including AWS (Amazon Web Services), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, Rackspace Cloud Files or OpenStack environments.
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Citrix for managing IT infrastructure in hybrid or private cloud settings.
- Proficiency in managing IT infrastructure through automation tools like Terraform for IaC; configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet; system hardening practices; and scripting languages including Bash or PowerShell.
- Deep knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for deploying microservices architectures at scale.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services integration; experience with API management solutions is a plus.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts including scalability strategies for IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) environments; experience with SaaS applications is advantageous.
- Knowledge of database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL Server; experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB or Cassandra is preferred.
- Ability to manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions across multiple clouds to ensure secure access controls.
- Experience working within Agile development methodologies; familiarity with SDLC processes for continuous improvement in software delivery pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively across technical teams.

Pay: $122,741.80 - $147,818.09 per year
