American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 35-bed Oncology/Hematology unit requiring Epic proficiency, oncology experience, and a valid OH or compact RN license.

35-bed medical and radiation oncology unit in a hospital setting, serving both Med/Surg and Advanced Care (stepdown) patients
-
Patient population includes oncology and hematology patients, with a focus on blood products, chemotherapy, drips, PCAs, and wound care
-
Targeted patient ratio is 1:4, with potential ratios up to 1:5-6

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
-
No block scheduling; 36 or 48 hours per week available, with 18 or 20-week contract options in addition to the standard 13-week contract

Epic EMR experience is required

Must float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units; travelers float first at the facility's discretion and may be assigned to specialty clusters, including a high-risk respiratory unit

Floating may include assignments across the main campus and satellite campuses within 15 miles

Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required

Active OH or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips

Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required

Stepdown (SD) or PCU experience required; ICU experience does not substitute for SD/PCU experience at this facility

Documented 1:5 ratio experience in a stepdown or PCU setting must be reflected in work history

Epic EMR experience required

Must pass an online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to starting

ONS Chemotherapy Certification required to administer chemotherapy on the unit

Oncology experience required
-
Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience preferred

Travel nursing experience preferred

Sickle cell experience and chemo certification preferred but not required

RNs with ONS Certification are eligible to administer chemotherapy on the unit

N95 fit testing is required prior to working on the high-risk respiratory unit (HRRU); PAPR may be offered as an alternative
-
Navy blue scrubs are required

All RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no RTO requests will be accepted after an offer is made, and approval is at the manager's discretion

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted for RN positions
