Optical Associate / Optician Trainee/Technician Trainee

Tacoma Eye is patient-focused optometry office. We are looking for a reliable, motivated individual to join our staff as an Optical Sales Associate, Optician Trainee, and Technician Trainee. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with people, is eager to gain new skills, thrives in a team setting, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer care.
Position Details
- We are open on Saturdays
- We are closed Sunday & Monday
- We have Part-time options available (Approx 16+ hours)
- Comprehensive training provided in optical sales, optician skills, and clinical support
No Experience working in an optometry office required....We do prefer persons who have worked as a medical receptionist role and dealt with patients (not necessarily an optometrist's office) — we are excited to train the right candidate!
Responsibilities
- Help patients choose frames and lenses in our optical showroom
- Develop optician skills including taking measurements, educating patients on lenses, and adjusting eyewear
- Deliver excellent customer service with a warm and professional demeanor
- Assist doctors and team members as a technician trainee (pre-testing and managing patient flow)
- Support coworkers as needed to keep daily operations running smoothly
- Keep the office clean, organized, and inviting

Pay: $17.80 - $20.00 per hour
