We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Floater to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting teachers and enhancing the learning environment for children. This position involves working with preschool-aged children, providing assistance in various classrooms, and ensuring a safe and engaging atmosphere for all students. Duties
- Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and activities.
- Assist in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive interactions among students.
- Engage with children during playtime, meals, and educational activities to encourage social skills and development.
- Help with curriculum development by contributing ideas for lesson planning and classroom activities.
- Facilitate physical education activities that promote health and wellness among students.
- Provide support in Montessori-style learning environments, adapting to the unique needs of each classroom.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers regarding individual children's development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
Requirements
- Experience or knowledge in preschool education or daycare settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Understanding of behavior management techniques to support children's emotional and social development.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies to assist children with diverse needs.
- Ability to contribute to curriculum development and lesson planning that aligns with educational standards.
- A background in teaching physical education is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential for fostering an enriching learning environment.
- A flexible attitude towards working in various classrooms as needed.
